Weirdos
I've never wondered where my smartass mouth comes from. It was never, ever a mystery to me as my is an adept at smartassery. No, really, she is. I'm practically an intern compared to her in reality. If I tweeted half the shit she says I'd be more famous than that guy about his dad.
Anyways, my mother called my house today and says, "I'm at the cafe surrounded by your people. Why are writers so weird? Is it just the porn writers?"
And I respond, "No, science fiction writers are even worse than porn writers and the very worst and most weird are fantasy writers."
So, I mosey on down to the cafe to rescue my mother from the "weirdos" or really, let's be honest I came to rescue them from her. I get here and order some food and order some coffee. I get over to the area where my mother is holding COURT and she's giving them advice on plot structure.
How is this my life?
