10 Things I Hate
I HATE...
1. Peppermint patties
2. The beach and anything involving getting in a body of water that doesn't have chlorine in it.
3. It's a Wonderful Life (movie)
4. 95% of the Beatles catalog
5. Horror movies
6. The SyFy Channel for canceling Farscape and for changing the spelling of their name because now I can't even take them seriously.
7. The fact that SyFy broadcasts wrestling
8. Whoever is responsible for the cancellation of Stargate: Atlantis
9. Locked fic entries on LJ though I do know why some people lock their LJ's down because fandom in general is full of sorry, no good, horrible bitches. (well maybe not FULL but it certainly feels like it sometimes)
10. The woman who lives down the street from me who drives the BMW. I don't hate her for the BMW because I don't even really like BMWs but I will say this. If you're going to drive a 50,000 dollar car then you need to DRIVE it and otherwise you need to park that shit in the driveway and let it look pretty instead.

2. The PTB that govern mainstream tv (and movies). For feeding us reality tv/frat boy pablum and letting good shows like SGA and Firefly die.
3. Cake Boss fans. Who come to my town and line up for hours outside Carlos Bakery, hogging the sidewalk and the store. It used to be one of my favorite places for a cup and a pastry back in the day. I haven’t been inside in years.
4. My bank. Who charges me $35 when I’m $1.36 overdrawn.
5. People (who happen to be related to me) who refuse to learn how to take care of their computers because “It’s easier just to call you.” (direct quote)
6. Panera Bread. And any other establishment that offers free wifi and then proceeds to block any site I’m interested in. I can understand blocking porn videos – there are children running around. But text? And poker? Really?
7. Pro-life women’s health “clinics” masquerading as non-partisan doctor’s offices.
8. Westboro Baptist Church
9. People who think I’m somehow “less” because I’m not married. Been there, done that. I’m done taking care of anyone over the age of 18.
10. The Hitchhiker’s Guide, Interview with a Vampire, and all those other books that I tried so hard to love, but just couldn’t stand.

God those ppl make me ashamed to be a human being much less one from Kansas. Everytime I see them on a corner I want to drive my car into the lot of them.
Except I can't because: 1) I love my car and don't want it contaminated by those fuckers.
2) I'm not really willing to go to jail for them. Even if eliminating them from the gene pool would be doing a service to all humanity.
3) I really don't want to disappoint my parents. I'm sure they'd agree with me saying it was a service to all humanity but still...
Although if someone did do that I'm sure a bunch of us would get together and give them a medal.

I live in a very conservative town. I spend a lot of time repeating this to myself. since no one else is listening.
"Freedom of religion must include freedom FROM religion."
