Dirty

I write explicit sex (in case anyone failed to notice). No, really I write filthy, explicit sex. In fact, I have written and been paid to write everything from literary erotica to PORN. That's right, PORN.

When I write sex -- I use adult words. I've never referred to the penis in a manner that makes it sound more like a weapon than a sex organ. It's a cock. It's a dick. Sometimes it's an erection. It's rarely a shaft. It's NEVER a sword or a tool or a missile or even "the evidence of his desire". It's a COCK. No really, it's a COCK.

My favorite words: fuck, pussy, cunt, clit, asshole, cock, and dick. I use these words a lot in just about anyway I can as often as I can in practically everything I write. If there is sex in a story I will make every effort to use the filthiest language possible. This is my solemn promise to you as a writer.

When I first started publishing fan fiction online, I actually worried about the sex in my stories being too explicit for fanfiction.net which is why I ended up with my own website and why I stopped posting at ff.net. I knew I was really too dirty to be on their site and that my stories could be deleted at any time for TOS violation if someone reported me as having posted what was for all intents and purposes PORN.

My email is a constant source of bemusement, ire, and entertainment. The contents of any given email will often make me laugh so hard I hurt myself, clap my hands in delight, or mutter and curse under my breath while I fume a little at the abusive behavior of whatever troll has found their way into my in box.

Today I got this one sentence email and it was GOLDEN. LMFAO.

It said:

"I wish your stories weren't so dirty."

(You guys can't see me obviously but I want you to know that I'm smirking right now).

If I say I've read dirtier...

...would you take it as a challenge? (smirk of my own)

In all seriousness, I actually stopped reading someone when the plot not only disappeared from her writing, but every tract (I refuse to call them stories) became about how much unadulterated porn she could fit between the summary and "the end." Hm, that makes me sound prudish, and I'm now so not a prude (well, at least no more than John in WMHB on the topic of the word "prostate.")

"Dirty" to me in porn for the sake of porn with the participants more or less serving as talking dildos. The most plotless PWP in the world is still not dirty to me if I can see characters in it for who they are, not just what they're doing. The woman whose stuff I stopped reading had devolved so completely into "any two guys," that I read the last couple of pieces waiting for one to call the other by the wrong name.

One of the things that floored me most about TTB was that there was a sadist who'd top (heh--yeah, I said it) any BAU list of usual suspects in our reality and a submissive masochist who said "sir" more in one afternoon that I picture the canon character saying in his entire adult life, and they were still recognizably John and Rodney to me. Then I read Sentinels of Atlantis, which features a John who would sooner cut off a hand than hurt his Rodney, and it was still them.

No matter what your John and Rodney do to each other in the sack, shower, living room, dining room, puddlejumper, exhibition hall or against a random wall, as long as I see the essence of them in there nothing's going to be too dirty for me.
