5 Books On My Desk

The fact is that I mostly buy ebooks these days but our house is loaded down with print books that we bought before we had devices for ebook reading because both my husband and I are both avid readers. He also has a serious hard-on for audio books. Nine times out of ten, he's listening to audio book on his mp3 player instead of actual music.

1. The 15th Edition of the Chicago Style Manual (because I'm currently editing an article for a magazine that is due next week)

2. Master/slave Relations: Handbook of Theory and Practice by Dr. Robert J. Rubel (because I'm considering scenarios for the next TTB story)

3. Killers: The Most Barbaric Murderers of Our Times by Nigel Cawthorne (professional project research)

4. He Shall Thunder in the Sky by Elizabeth Peters (because it's my favorite book in that series)

5. The Shelter of Stone by Jean Auel (because a new book in this series is coming out soon and I was brushing up on it so I could be prepared for the hardcore reading session I'll have on my Kindle when it comes out)

I'm intrigued by number 2! (Also excited over the thought of more TTB, even if it's months away *g*)

I have to admit, when I write kink, I go on instinct, based on my own analysis of the characters from canon and my BSc in Psychology.

TTB just recently went over the 300,000 mark as far as word count goes so originality and inspiration at this point are taking some work.

Woah, that's huge! I can understand your dilemma *g* You mentioned a violet wand in "In the Flames". I'd be very interested to see that or the electrified whip from "Whatever it Takes" in action.

It's on the agenda for Rodney and John but I'm also considering a few scenes of play with other pairs on the city to give the series some "rounding out" as it were.

Sounds good! I was thinking the other day, when I re-read the series for the billionth time that we haven't seen much of Elizabeth/Radek in private. And I like Declan/Sean as well.

Hey, I'm cool with it. You have some seriously pretty people cast for this fan fic. As much as OTP will always be Rodney and John for SGA, I would love to see more of those other couples getting it on, just so I can give my imagination a work out :D.

"Taking some work." It isn't showing that I can see! The key to TTB exhibition or any other dirty scene (yes, I'm still chortling over you correspondent) for me is how in tune the participants are.

Your later response below about "rounding out" put some perspective on this comment, though; the most detailed activity as been around the SM pairings. My interest is incredibly piqued with respect to who all we're going to get a look at next.
