Naked NaNo - Story Update

Well,

I've reached the half way mark for my goal and it's only day 8 so that's pretty fucking cool. I think... that I might have underestimated how big my plot actually is and I might push towards 75k but who knows. We'll see what I can fit into 50k before we go changing goals.

Summary:

John is drawn to explore an off-world facility but Rodney is concerned by the impact the facility has on his Sentinel.
Blair Sandburg and James Ellison take Jack O'Neill and Patrick Sheppard into the jungles of South America on a journey to the Temple of the Sentinels.
Anne Teldy and Allison Porter hitch a ride on a submarine to the Ross Sea in search of what appears to be another Ancient outpost.
Sam and Daniel sneak into Egypt to search for a hidden tomb.
David and Andy take a trip to Great Britain where they meet up with Carson Beckett.
Matt Sheppard and Chase Harris step through the gate to a planet on the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy and finds something rather unexpected.

You know how I struggle through every word you write. If this one exceeds 50k, I'll just have to suck it up ~~like a crack addicted Hoover~~.

It'll be such a hardship to read more than 50k. I mean, I just don't know how I'll cope. I suppose I'll just have to allot more time to read. ;D
So far I am loving every bit of it.

I'm sure we can muster of the stamina to endure another 25K of this story. Please, please let us muster up! :)

No, no dear, ladies don't snort. Or smirk. Or belch. Or swear, perspire, run, talk loudly or get their names in the paper(except when they are born, marry or die). You my dear are no lady, and aren't we glad?! (Neither am I, btw, but I can fake it ;D)

I really appreciate your efforts to help all your minions increase their stamina and survive on less sleep (and more porn). I vow to bear up under the strain, struggle thru, maintain, and grab all the fic I can read with greedy little hands. You are a true mentor. No, really.

At first pass, I read embarrassment between the lines as if you were exceeding the legal limit or something. (I realized later it was more likely to be Halo-induced exhaustion; hope the game-gasm was excellent!) I was off in a haze of:

Inner Slash Ho: Will there be extra megs of smut?
Inner English Teacher: (spits out ball gag) God, I hope so
Inner Bouncer: Weren't you frothing at the typos or something?
Inner English Teacher: Matt Sheppard got naked. Who gives a fuck about the typography?
Inner Sex Tourist: The jungles of Peru are usually good for a steamy romp...
...And so forth. You've got all the Inner Voice stirred up most indecorously. A snort was the least you had coming.

That means farting is back on the table and I can celebrate at my favorite Latin American restaurant at lunch today. *\o/*

I just love everything you write - i'm so jealous! I'd love to be able to write as well as you, or in the amounts you can! I started NaNo, but my postgrad this year is insane, and i have so little time that i'm stuffed. And i decided i hated my plot...just a small issue. I'll come up with something eventually though - but back to my first point -> loving it!

Oh no dear, ladies don't fart or even pass gas! They simply hold it until they explode (in a refined manner) on some unsuspecting person. Husbands are good for this.

I just mentioned a few things, really, not even close to the whole list. I left out that they don't blow their noses in public either.

I think the breadth of this plot could easily catapult you to 100k or more if you are not careful. Love your ambition, and am greatly enjoying the story so far. Please forgive me if I tell you that it doesn't feel very long at all (ducks!)--it's just that so much is happening, at such a rapid clip, that each part so far has ended far too quickly.... (for me)

Your Sentinels are made of win! I'm sure you know this, but I just had to say it. Andy is so young to be so badass, what will he be like when he's older? Sean is so awesome that I kinda hurt for David because he's not a true match. I can't wait to see him with Declan though. This fic is so wonderful, and we haven't even *seen* what O'Neil & Co are doing yet! Love it, love it!!

I love the idea of just writing with no editing! How freeing! The fact that it's you doing the writing? All the better.

No, really, Keira, it's awesome and twisty, and I am SURE we're all up to reading it. And oh, ANDY!!! He's just... the awesomest little Sentinel EVER!! (is "awesomest" a word? Oh, hell, whatever, I'm MAKING it a word!!)

I have been enjoying the fuck outta this one, and the whole Naked Nano site this year. much coolness contained therein!
