New Ebook Covers and Site News

Check out the awesome ebook covers fanarts_series made for me. I'll be making the ebooks for these 2 stories this week sometime. :-) In other news, I've upgraded the chat room on my site to a paid feature to allow for up to 75 chatters at once, at least this way I'll be able to get into my own dang chatroom on a regular basis. You can disable the chat if you're not interested in clicking on the first section on the right. You'll see a little "gear" icon -- this will allow you to turn the chat off if you aren't interested. Only logged in members can even see the chatroom so you can always log out when you're reading all fan fiction on the site is available to public except for the ebook section, forums, and chat -- that I restrict to keep my bandwidth reasonable. On the ebook front -- I currently offer: PDF, LIT, ePub, and PRC (kindle) -- is there a format out there that I'm missing that you'd like to see for download? I'd rather not provide an RTF or a .txt file but other than that I have Calibre and I will make books with a mighty click of my mouse!

I love Calibre. I just got a Nook Simple Touch and am gradually working on converting the saved fiction I have to epub files.

I tend to convert stuff into .mobi cause I can read it on my kindle and I can never remember what the kindle format ever is :)

.prc and .mobi are the same thing - and both work on Kindle.

the new ebook went wonky on my Kobo and I don't know why. I even tried calibre-ing it. But I was really tired when I attempted it so it could be a case of PEBCAK (problem exists between chair and keyboard). I will be attempting a second convert this weekend, to see if it is a me + computers = FAIL! thing.

Human Nature, from "I will space you and report you AWOL" through the eyebrow trash talk (only Jack, two LL) is one of my favorite laugh-out-loud, disturb-feline-lap-population stories. Situations of War freaks me the fuck out (I can't remember why, only having read it once) but I am all for ebook conversion, so YAY

.mobi format for the ebooks may be a little bit easier for you. I know it is readable by nook and kindle and if i'm not mistaken its also readable on other similar devices as well. I use calibre to convert anything that my kindle can't read but I just thought i'd lend a shout out about it since you are going to all the effort of making your most fantastic stories into ebooks. :D
