Several years ago I had a hard drive failure and it was a nightmare. Really, a total nightmare. Of course, it is the tragedy that just keeps on fucking giving, you know? There was this big list of things I that I lost. It was hard and I think I might have actually grieving period. I lost of a lot of writing.

It's bullshit, that so much later that I have discovered yet another thing I lost on that fucking hard drive. I lost of a series of ebooks that I bought from Ellora's Cave and I can't remember the author OR the titles of the books just a vague plot of the first book. Good lord, I've just had the most three frustrating hours in recent memory.

BAH.

What is the vague memory of plot? Maybe one of your loyal minions might recognize it and figure out a title or two for you!

We are here to serve!

Do you remember at least the time period you bought it? EC should have a full history of your purchases though if you're like me and have bought a lot over the years, that's probably still no help...but sometimes for me if I can't remember the author/plot points the cover will give a jolt of memory for me. I just went through the same thing a month ago and had to go look through the pictures of past purchased book covers to find it. Eventually I did but it was a frustrating search. GL.

Once I had a half of my thesis vanish. I got carbonite the next day. It has saved my patootie, especially when my computer committed suicide by fried hard drive. If you don't get it (or something like it) invest in portable jump drives and back everything up (which you have done).

Yay! They did change the whole cart system, and you kinda have to do this run-around/reregistration thingy with your login (it's stupid and I forget the exact details) but they reloaded my whole purchase history, so you're probably still on file with them if nothing else.

Cowboy Bebop icon! Spike! And that looks like 'Toys in the Attic' (where there were no toys and no attic - gotta love their titling!)

And not only do I back up onto a second computer but also onto portable hard drives!

It is Spike and that is from 'Toys in the Attic'. :D It's my favorite episode. I made this icon, so feel free to steal it. Some days, you just gotta light the cigarette with a flame thrower.

I ended up with portable hard drives where the motherboard of a laptop died, and I yanked out the memory. It works well. Great for storing pictures.

Whenever I need a laugh, I pull out that episode and laugh my ass off!

And some days, you just have to eat purple pudding!

Dear Keira join Allromanceebooks.com (if you haven't already) then ask at their cafe next time you can't find figure out a book. If they can't locate it there. They might place it in their Anyone? Section of their newsletter. I haunt ARE. I have a NOOK which I love. But frankly the ARE selection is just better, the prices are better and the buy 10 get one free deal is better. LOL. I just buy them there and download them to my Nook.

As usual

Watched the vid when I cam back to see comments. That is brilliant. I usually roll my eyes at "explicit slash" warnings on vids, but this one not only came through, but if I didn't know better I'd think the vidder was using Inception source. I am amazed.
