5 Ways my LJ is just like my Fan Fiction Site

1. I write/post on it because it amuses me.
2. I have never once forced anyone to read it.
3. I don't expect everyone who does read it to enjoy it.
4. I don't accept orders from strangers about what I can and can not write on it.
5. I don't give a backwards-flying-fuck if you like what I write on it.

Also, I'm a bitch so I don't expect all sunshine and roses in my email. I realize exactly what my reputation is in fandom and frankly I really don't give a shit. That shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who actually pays attention around here. There came a point, I suppose, when my fandom persona became something like public property. It made people think they are entitled to tell me how they feel, order me about, demand that I write certain things, jokingly threaten me, perpetrate non-consensual beta on my work, and suddenly I didn't have a right to have private parts of my website, or lock posts on my LJ. Well fuck that and fuck you if you think that. 

One day I may post something that pisses you off and you may feel like you're entitled to email me or comment on about what I've said pisses you off. Just be aware that no matter what you say, how you say it, or how far and wide you spread it -- you can post it on your LJ, or wank about it anonymously on some post-secret LJ or comment memes, use my comment form, email me, or even take out a full page ad in the New York Fucking Times -- I'm still not going to give a shit what you think.

I know you don't take requests, but if there's any way some of your characters could demonstrate a backwards-flying-fuck, that would be great. I'm not sure how I'd go about it if I ever wanted to give one.

The psychology of that class of people really escapes me. Who has time to go trolling through blogs to find people who are renown for going their own way and not giving a fuck, only to email about how much they hate. What part of didn't give a fuck did they miss, and who has that kind of free time anyway?

Two things. I'd say, well obviously Thomas Grant wasn't your therapist. But really... /fandom bitching/ is one of my favorite tags. It's almost as cathartic for me as it must be for you (I stress, almost) because often you put to words what is already going on in my slightly-less-bitchy mind.

Kiera, I think you should put some of the more entertainingly obnoxious bullshit you get up on your site--maybe a hate mail tab? I think it would be wise to remove headers and such because your minions, while superior humans, are human and might lose focus on their superiority in their outrage and do a little emailing of their own, which I think would be a mistake (because the bastards don't deserve the attention). But I would love to see just how stupid some of your mail is. Feeling smugly superior to idiots is a gods-given right, after all.

In general, I do not comment on stories i read, no matter how crudely edited or offensive the material. Partly because I some how manage to sound like an uneducated twit when in written form, and partly because there is this lovely thing called a close button. I can honestly count the number of authors who have managed to actually get me to respond on a single hand, and somehow at least 3 of those fingers wind up being you. The sheer audacity of the people who flame you manages to shock me, when i have spend time on games with teenagers with tiny minds, too much money and time. I have enjoyed your writing, stories and l.j. and you somehow make me want to either hunt your flamers for the good of the human race or try to slap sense into them (and yes, i know my hand will wear out first).
