I'm pretty flexible otherwise. So, I've been working on the outline for the Criminal Minds AU for the TTB series. I've watched the first five seasons already to prep for it (you might have noticed my complaining on Twitter).  I've made a few ship choices and they are, obviously, very final and not subject to debate as I've almost finished plotting the first novella/novel.

Hotchner/Reid (both trained at de Sade)
Morgan/Garcia (Morgan will come out of La Petite Mort but Garcia will have no formal training)

As these are my two main pairings this series will have slash and het in it. Bitching about it will .... well, it would be kind to unfriend you but I won't. Instead I'll just make "friends only" posts about you and not allow you to comment on them. Forewarned is forearmed.

Ooh, yay! I love these pairings. When I heard you were pairing Hotch and Reid, I was kind of hoping another would be Morgan/Garcia. I think they're absolutely adorable in their interactions on the show.

Ok, I get that some folks can be *really* obsessive about their "one true pairing". I have some pairings I like better than others and some I don't I don't care for at all (anybody/Voldemort comes to mind), but refusing to read anything else but OTP means you sure miss a lot of great fic.

Are the complainers upset that you're pairing Derek with someone other than their OTP or that you're writing het? If it's the het, I just have to laugh! I mean really, you can't make everyone in the whole world gay. (Unless you're *trying* to write crack.) If you're trying to create a realistic AU you have to have some balance. Besides, the population would die out. I suppose you could have big breeding farms or something, but really? See above re: crack.

I've always loved how you have such an interesting mix in TTB, and I'm really looking forward to the next part. It might make me go watch more CM too!

I have this possibly unreasonable opinion of the people who complain about pairings on the basis of gender in any TTB story: as one's sexual orientation in this universe is determined by "dom, sub or switch?" and everyone is functionally bisexual with respect to gender, which leads me to believe the "ew, het" or "ew, femslash" whiners just. Aren't. GETTING it. I don't think Keira could be any clearer with her labels, so my compassion quotient for the "i'm just here for the slash, wtf?" crowd bottoms out pretty quickly.

Huh, I know that some of your "fans" are complaining about weird things - because you tell us in a hilarious fashion when they do - but to complain about het writing?! *sigh* If they don't like they can write their own fic!

Hotch/Reid makes sense to me and I'm looking forward to reading it.

I'm sure that if you'd chosen another pairing I'd have loved that too - you are after all the writer that "forced" me to read my first Star Trek fic ;P

I'm intrigued with the idea of Garcia having no training and I'm looking forward to see what you do with it.

In canon I always loved the Morgan/Garcia relationship - till they ruined it with the one night stand that didn't happen. When, in all the seasons of their interactions, did he behave in such a way that she'd think that he'd take advantage!? *still pissed about that ep*

I have fandoms where I will not read a story if the pairing is not my OTP -example is Kirk/Spock. Then there are fandoms where I have my preference, but also read stories where my OTP is not together- Numb3rs, I absolutely adore Charlie/Ian but as there are not many stories altogether in this fandom I will read every story that is well written and is slash.
And then there are fandoms where I do not have a OTP but where I like some character/s who I let behave like a slut :) They/He can be together with who he wants to be- this is mainly in fandoms where I have never seen the movie/tv series and therefore I do not have any idea about the real dynamics...

Whilst I would normally ship Morgan/Reid, I will follow you wherever your writings take us. I didn't ship Kirk/Spock but still read your Tangled Destinies and it is one of my favourites now. I do like the chemistry between Morgan and Garcia and I do not understand why people have a problem with het. I cannot wait till you post the story.

I think I am an oddball in fandom since I don't really do OTP. I have pairings I favor but I will read almost anything if it is well written. ALL of your works are well written so I read everything you write and post publicly. Are you going to have it as established Hotch/Reid or evolving? Will Hotch still have his history with Haley and still have his son? There is so much you can do angst wise with this....

I have a plan. Hotch/Reid are an established pairing in the SGA au but I'm going to back CM au up so you can see how they come together and the departure of Gideon.

The rest of it I don't want to discuss at this point due to my plot process.

I'm sorry. I couldn't keep a straight face long enough to come up with ridiculous pairings for everyone else. The truth is: I have no pairings for CM as (gasp) I don't actually read the slash outside of crossovers with, like, Supernatural or something.

You write it, I'll read it with the usual disclaimer of "except for Dark Places in the Soul, mainly because it sounds depressing as all hell and you've declared it un- and never-to-be-finished." Please don't break anything that takes you out of writing again; I might wind up reading it in desperation.

Question: does Morgan have a different financial background (or a canon one of which I'm unaware) or is he just simply too hot not to scholarship into LPM?

La Petite Mort is like a kink collage. There are branches in every major city on the planet, they have scholarships, etc. They offer adult education classes outside of the "session" system and even private teaching situations.

I have down that Morgan attended 3 sessions with La Petite Mort after he graduated from the FBI Academy are various points leading up to his move into the BAU. He entered the BAU marked.

In canon, Morgan doesn't suffer for money. He might have been middle class growing up but he dresses well, has multiple properties... etc.

I am so excited about the Morgan/Garcia pairing. I very rarely seek out het fic but read and enjoy it a lot as an aside in mostly slash series like TTB. I haven't read much CM fic and what I have read has been mostly Morgan/Reid. I am really intrigued by the thought of Morgan/Garcia because they have such an awesome flirtatious thing going on the show. Very much looking forward to it. Also, Reid is such a subby little thing it will be spectacular to have him playing with Hotch in your TTB universe. Very excited about this!

We all have our ships; I just get aggravated when someone tries to shave their shop down my throat. For example I don't read CM fic often because I got tired of being sneers at for preferring to read Hotch/Reid, while being curious about Reid/Rossi. I've never been that into Morgan was the problem I guess. I excited to see where you go with this AU whenever it pops up.

I used to be all about Beckett/McKay but you were a big influence on seeing the John/Rodney love. I default to jack/Daniel but am am flexible about Daniel pairings. I admit, I'm a crossover whore and like Daniel, Blair or Xander (of BtVS) with a variety of people. Plus there's the oddball fannish loves in obscure little fandoms.

I admit, I still haven't watched Inception and so the name Eames makes me think L&O:CI.

I usually have pairings I prefer, but in your fics I have no problems as you make all your characters strong persons able to stand on their own. Unlike some other authors who have to make one of the characters either whimpy, traumatized so much they cannot function without the other or have to change their sex as they can't write slash. The latter really ticks me off. If you don't want to write slash don't do the pairing.

I'm so glad - I've wanted to see a rounder gal being sexy in pretty much any fanfic for ages. The fact that you're going to do it makes me want to turn backsprings!

(yes, I know that there are plenty of Morgan/Garcia fics out there. But, to be honest, I gave up on finding that they frequently either have her lose weight or treat it as though she was a thin girl - like they have no idea how wonderful a round, soft, luscious woman can be.)

I love Garcia and Morgan together, but will read almost any CM pairing. I am also glad that someone is finally going to write Garcia well. She always ends in PG relationship land in fic. I have read dozens of otherwise well written fic looking for a Penelope Garcia that is not skinny and takes pleasure in her lover of choice. It has gotten kind of depressing. Keira is the goddess of sexy times, so I am really hopeful for Garcia finally getting some sex with someone.

Also, I just love Reid and will take him any way I can get him. Het or Slash is all good with me.
