8. The Boy Scouts of America. #homophobia

9. People who think the rules don't apply to them. #sister

10. The fact that I broke my foot last May and the motherfucker still hurts!!! The doctor says it may take 24 months to heal. #fuckthat 

11. People who forsake rational thought and valid scientific information for their religion. #globalwarming #youngearth #teabagger

My sister called me this morning and sort of woke me up. I was mostly awake because of my fucking foot hurting. She's an arrogant twat but that's genetic so I don't hold it against her. Like me, she's been out of fuck's to give for about ten years *maybe longer*. So I just let her bitch for like twenty minutes while she was driving to work and she made me laugh some and I made her laugh which is good, right? Then I got to bitch for about twenty minutes, because fair is fair. And mostly I bitched about my foot and how my pain medication wore off a few hours ago. Though spending half the night stoned off my ass being bitchy was entertaining in its own right.

Remember how I said that it was perfectly okay to make people mad at you or to point out when someone is being asshole? Right, well, don't be surprised if the person on the other end of things doesn't care what you think. There are a surprising number of people who are completely out of fucks.

i think they changed to SyFy because the didn't want to put any actual SciFi on the telly. but keep all their followers and "broaden their fan base". which means that you have to put reality TV shows on...like every other channel. which negates why SyFy exists at all.

so now we need a NEW channel that will put SciFi on the telly!!

2: SyFy also cancelled Alphas, which made me sad. And seriously, WTF is with the name SyFy as opposed to SciFi? Are they just trying to appease the not-so-smart masses who don't understand that SciFi is short for Science Fiction? Ugh.

6: I never ask people to pray for me, or offer to pray for others. I'll wish someone luck and ask for the return, or offer to keep them in my thoughts, but that's about it. I hate when people can't respect boundaries, and religion is a pretty damn big boundary.

10: I broke my toe, hmmm, four years ago, I think? It still hurts off and on. When it's cold out, or if I stub it, it hurts like a son of a bitch. Not as large as a whole foot, obviously, but yeah. I wish I could say it gets better. =/

Not that it makes the rest of your list any better or excuses the rampant idiocy of the Boy Scouts of America upper echelon any more palatable, but at least I can promise you that the neanderthal attitudes prevalent is NOT indicative of Scouting as a whole.

The organization I belong to, Scouts Canada not only does not discriminate on the basis of gender, culture, religious belief or sexual orientation, we've also been fully co-ed since 1998. We have girls, atheists, gays... you name it.

Maybe one of these centuries the BSA will clue in and realize that you can have a wonderful program which fully embraces all the wonderful aspects of Scouting without all the outdated crap.
