Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to go forth into the fandom(s) of your choice and post no less than 10 positive comments. Positive feedback is just about the only currency that is acceptable legally in fandom. There are other ways to show your appreciation: recs, private emails, kudos (if you're on AO3) but January 30th should be about using your words. Nothing is really more powerful to a writer than knowing that they've really touched another person with their work.

I think I'll go through my bookmarks and leave some feedback on a few older stories. It's always nice to know that someone is still enjoying some of our older work.

There is a author who wrote something probably about 10 years ago but she took it down maybe 5 or 6 years ago now, and she always said she was going to re-write. She actually lost her first re-draft. But about twice a year since I always send a little note to say how much I still think about that story and can't wait to see it should she ever put it back out. My only problem is I never had a back up copy of it, so it saddens me that I will pretty much never be able to read it again.

My first comment shall be to you! Ever since I found your works (I think my first was Tangled Destinies) I have been completely enveloped in your worlds. Your characterizations are always interesting, and I feel a lot of the time they reflect you as well (from what I have gleamed from your posts). The fact that you are willing to share your ideas and have absolutely no fear of what others think is a wonderful role model. I hope that I can be as unselfconscious of my writing one day. BTW, love your music choice, The Piano Guys rock, and they rock even harder with Lindsey Stirling!

Fantastic

Leaving comments, and I really only leave positive comments, on everything I read this year was my only New Year's resolution. (I have given up completely on the get in shape resolution) I would say that I am accomplishing my goal 80-85% of the time. I will have to make an effort to read at least 10 new stories on the 30th.

thank you so much for the Avengers story rec -- it was absolutely wonderful in a million ways & I'll be telling the author as much.

Quite timely as well tomorrow I pick up Capt. America & Avengers from the library so I can watch back to back.

2. Just Like Penguins, by Vega (Animals Challenge) by losyark

“For cryin` out loud. Don’t we have better things to be spending our time and money on than witch hunts? Like, I dunno, blowing up a supergate or trying to keep the world from getting crispified by the Ori, or trying to keep the space-vampires from finding us?”

3. Blue and Knobby by ladycat777

Just a vegetable. Blue and knobby and the source of, John had thought, many a joke in their future.

http://mirabile-dictu.livejournal.com/66173.html
"I missed you so much," John whispered. "I didn't know. It was always me leaving, so I didn't know."

5. H. s. s. vialacteanus by Sophonisba
http://sga-flashfic.livejournal.com/463414.html
"Honestly, sir," Lorne said, "[...] most of us were here when you turned into a bug. This is pretty small potatoes."

6. And That's For Remembrance by seperis

8. Posture by toft_froggy'
http://toft-froggy.livejournal.com/239935.html
Aliens make John dress up. Again. “Oh, I’ll ask General O’Neill next time I see him if he’s ever had to dress up for aliens with a Pride and Prejudice-themed state cult, I'm sure he gets it all the time.” McKay/Sheppard, crossdressing, slight hints of D/S and breathplay. Set in the 'Second Skin' universe after 'Skintight'.

9. Firewall by Macx

James Bond defies death on a regular basis. He comes back from the dead again and again.

I'll get #10 later....

I'm a day late to this party.

Yours (WMHB) was the first slash fic that I ever read and have followed along ever since. I thank you for writing your stories and letting me hang out in your playground! "HUGS"
