In high school, I rode the bus to and from school. I hated high school, which is I think a pretty common theme on my flist based on my last post's comments.
Anyways, I rode the bus and I always did everything I could do to avoid talking the other people on the bus. My tenth grade year, my mother bought me a cd player which I used to avoid everyone as much as possible. Losing myself in music became as much of a hobby as anything else I had in my life at time --reading, writing, pretending to be interested in quilting when my mother was in the mood for it.
Listening to George Strait on the bus and thinking up stories to go along with his music kept my mind active and creative in an environment where I was essentially miserable and unstimulated.
