Rough Trade Site

I've created a new site for our writing challenges and it is located here: www.roughtrade.org

You can not use the log in for MY site on the new one. They are run by the same software and have similar layouts (but different art) but they are ENTIRELY SEPARATE in function.

This means -- if you want updates, you'll have to subscribe. If you want to read/comment on Rough Trade, you'll have to register. Period.

Due to the nature of the site, I've decided to make it members only. It's free to join and I found a new painless registration form that doesn't require you wait for an email. Don't bitch about this. It's the way it is and I'm not going to change my mind no matter how much you bitch about it.

I am not sure what is going on with the new site, but I registered (and it took it because I was able to read the latest No Other Man post) just fine. I went to leave a comment (and it told me that I was logged in as ladyivy right above the comment box), and when I hit the submit comment button I got a screen saying I must be logged in to post a comment.

I have no idea what's wrong. I use Firefox with no script, but I allowed every script on the page and still got the message.

Oh well, at least I can read the fiction even if it won't let me leave feedback there.

I have no idea. Earlier I had a Wordpress plug in enabled for comments but I disabled it, probably after you tried to comment.

I love how you include the little details and the snark is as snarky as one might wish. And I echo Syble above - Riley has his priorities straight when he asks if Marcus will be getting naked again. Very nice.

So now I get a different error - it says ERROR: please fill the required fields (name, email).

Note - it STILL says I'm logged in as ladyivy, and I hit the back button to look for these required fields and don't see them.

I also tried replying to someone else's comment; no go on that either.

I think the new website just hates me.

It's okay. I was able to create an account and read the posts, which really is the most important thing. If just absolutely I have to leave feedback, I'll PM you here, and if it's for another author I'll see if I can find an alternative way to get it to them.

Do you get an error message of some kind? Are you using a Yahoo email address?

I'm using an AOL address but not getting an error. It's just ignoring me when sending e-mails? I did get something from there today and I clicked on the link and it took me to the site but said nothing about my being signed up or anything?

Something weird has been going on since everything wend wonky. I've been having trouble with Rough Trade and your Fanfic site.

But that wouldn't help your reading issue on my site as it is not membership only. most of the content is available to the public anyways.
