I loved the ensemble opening of The Sing-Off, that was awesome.

...honestly you'd think with all the uproar about that song that someone would get a clue and not sing it at competitions like The Sing-Off (and The Voice for that matter). I'm fortunate enough to have never actually listened to it (or at least, not listened and been aware that that's what it was), but that's because I've been making a huge effort. (BTW, my aunt admitted how much she likes/liked it at our holiday get together, only to be schooled on everything bad about it by myself and my cousin, both consent and copyright issues.)

I think it does a huge disservice to the contestants singing it, regardless of how 'good' the album is (or the singers covering it). I knew Nic Hawk was getting cut from The Voice as soon as Blake announced what he was singing.:( And he was one of my early favorites.
