What rights are actually guaranteed to submissives, bound or not? What are the differences between the right of bound or unbound submissives (if any)? In the corrupt cesspit that is Fuckernut McPustule-Cock's (aka Devereaux's) brain, what possible reasoning can he have that he can treat Rodney like property? I get that there was a time submissives were treated as slaves, but I don't get the impression that a Pleasure House owned those they trained, so WTF is this guy's justification? (If it's too major a plot point, I'll cheerfully await the reveal, of course, but this guy seems unreasonably fucking batshit on the issue. He needs a vicious cock punch per day, at the very least.)

Also, is Carter actually evil, or just an insecure fucking idiot? Because even if Rodney were someone else's courtesan it seems like social and career suicide to behave that damn badly.

I completely and utterly adore TTB, it's one of my favourites of yours (the other is TD). You introduced me to the SGA fandom and McShep, for which I thank you.

My question is this, apart from a few throw away comments you haven't made a big deal about John's bug DNA. I was a little surprised when in the last part John's eyes turned black. Was this a purposeful thing? Or was it used to illustrate just how angry the whole situation had made him.

You know, I think this is the only time I've ever been grateful that my kid wakes me up in the middle of the night.

I'm not sure if you explained this elsewhere but who exactly is Gerard De Sade? What is the history of the De Sade family and what makes them so powerful and respected?

Also, when exactly did D/S come about? Had it always been that way or did someone come up with it and people just adopted it (e.g. The Romans?)
