Author’s Note: I know nothing about regular chess, much less 3d chess. It is my headcanon that Jim Kirk is 1/3 Betazoid through his father, George. I explored this concept in Tangled Destinies. In this ‘verse, Jim was serving as Pike’s First Officer on the Enterprise when Nero attacked Vulcan, so he joined Star Fleet sooner than he did in the AOS movies. They were able to prevent the destruction of Vulcan.
Summary:  Spock has issues. He could write a whole novel on them if he were inclined to such displays of angst. But he isn’t. Besides, Jim wouldn’t even read it because he’d rather read letters from Ambassador Spock. Not that Spock cares, because he doesn’t. Clearly.

Wow, that was absolutely lovely. I love your versions of Kirk/Spock. They are amazing in a way that is hard to describe. They are vivid, and real, and present. Have you read Sunryder's Matter of Choice? I think you might enjoy it. I also wanted to thank you for that lovely fic, Bella's Garden, and Alien Garden were both stunningly lovely as well. :D Thanks for sharing right now. I've not read Matter of Choice. This is going to sound crazy considering how hard I ship it, but I haven't read in the Star Trek fandom in a number of years.

I came to greatly prefer my own headcanon and it got difficult to find stories I liked.

I'll look up Sunryder's story though because it's hard to go wrong there!

Huh, I've realized this is a really old fic from Livejournal, and I was probably thinking of Managing Subspecies which can be found on A03. Let me know if you can't find Matter of Choice, I don't know if we need to ask her.... probably yes, unless she has a site I don't know about.
