Game On

When I was bored, earlier in the week, someone on Facebook sent me an invitation to this game called Zuma Blitz. I'm going to go on record and say that this person should be ashamed of themselves because I have played that game over 200 times since then. (I'm currently in first place in the tournament with my Friends list).

About an hour ago I was playing Halo: Reach (and kicking much ass I might add). I was thinking, while I was playing the game, that I want to write some big epic, angsty death fic but I'd never actually do it because I can't hardly stand to read death fic. I know I couldn't handle leaving a story that way because I like a happy ending.

It's Sunday and it's too early to be awake.

I hate and don't read dead fic so i can't say "yeah !!!!! " but as a writer if you want that you have to write, or it's going to ate you, the needs.
And Vin Diesel is a fucking sexy man. And you have to invite him in your fic, he already had the tattoo and the attitudes.

But at least I was able to rewatch 'Red' and see Karl Urban and Bruce Willis pound on each other. Yummy men make early mornings much more bearable.

I rely on the fact that I can trust you not to kill off characters that I like. I accidentally read a death fic yesterday and I'm all weirded out. If I wanted reality and sadness, I wouldn't read fic, I'd watch the freaking news. I want all my characters safe and happy at the end.

I love that scene, and the line completely makes it. I wish he'd make more movies. He's not at all my usual flavor, but very much yummy enough to make an exception.

Zuma on fbook is really addictive and I have been hooked on it for ages along with most of my extended family but I am innocent of tempting you with it. I would never distract you from writing that would be bad *lol*.

right after seeing the video I thought, "hmm, John Sheppard as an American spy sent to infiltrate McKay Industries because the company keeps producing tech 100 years more advanced than anything else on Earth. Told to get close to McKay by any means necessary. Gets there. Seduces Rodney. Unintentionally falls in love with him. Switches sides. Then Rodney learns what John really is." Also very glad you don't like to write Death Fics. I can read one as long as I know there is a happy ending, but I don't like to.

Well, I trust your artistic abilities.
But...
Your writing is too...real and INTENSE for me to be able to cope with an actual deathfic if it involved any of our/your central pairings or main characters.

Um, could you not give us an OMC and/or OFC to care about, then kill him/her off? A cop out, I know.:)

Of course, giving us a SERIOUS scare about John/Rodney, Jim/Blair, or any of the countless others you bring to life so vividly, would do it.

Or...having just seen the latest ep of Stargate:Universe and thought WTF! Maybe you could do it via alt!John and alt! Rodney etc arriving via an alternate universe/different timeline, whatever.

We'd then get the fun of seeing different temperaments,histories
sexualities, and what have yous, combined with the mega angst of one-or all-of them dying...

I understand your desire to write death fic - every now and then I get it too. Thankfully, it's rare, because the last time I did I wrote angsty final break-up fic that made me bawl my eyes out while writing.
You know, if you ever do feel the urge to write something like that, you should just get it out of your system. Some people really like death fic, and since I know you'd warn, you wouldn't make anybody cry who doesn't like it. The urge will only keep coming back anyway.

I'M NOT GOING TO CHECK OUT ZUMA BLITZ. I HAVE TO WRITE AN ESSAY ABOUT MASCULINITY IN A WEIRD PLAY WE'VE BEEN READING. (Should you ever come across Harold Pinter's "The Homecoming", I'm absolutely convinced it's set in a closeted BDSM world.)


Also, something I've been thinking about while re-reading Lantean Legacy - I know you have a bunch of betas and even more people who throw themselves at your feet offering their services, but, huh. I am very good with commas, grammar, and homophones. (Also I speak German and some French, in case you ever need that?)

A happy ending is usually a must-have for me too, but a little angst can go a long way (and a lot of angst can be cathartic), plus some death fics can have hopeful endings too, like synecdochic's 'freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose'.

I generally agree about death fic...Except in a few cases. I *do* hate it when an author doesn't warn for death fic, especially death of a major character. I think I'd read a death fic you wrote. Yeah, definitely...

Death fics make me unsettled for dayssssssssssssss. But then some of them are the best stories out there.

As for Vin Diesel can I offer him and Paul Walker up on platters? Preferably together? Sans clothes!? Gawd they're both hot. hmmm not to move away from yummy Vin clips. But I ran over an old fandom of mine and one of the most awesome of the writers there in and thought of you. Not sure if you would be interested in the fandom but you might like it. *shrugs* It's Gundam Wing (my very first taste into the wonderful world of slash) and here's a link to the authors work. LOL Gundam Wing was one of my first anime obsessions (aside from Sailor Moon...let's not go there).

LMAO that's okay. I didn't know what they were for a long time either. Just that there was robots and pretty boys in it. Then I stumbled along and found out that someone out there was so smart that they made the pretty boys do things to each other... and so lead my journey into the depths of Slash... and losing major chucks of my life to the reading of said slash!
