1. I always, without fail, check the front door of my house four times before I can get in my car and leave. If I make myself not do it -- I'll turn around and come back to make sure it is locked.

2. My thumbs are double jointed.

3. I like to eat dill pickles with popcorn and I can't eat microwave popcorn.

4. I can read a 100,000 novel is just under 4 hours with near perfect reading comprehension.

5. When I get really upset, I yawn.

PS: I don't think it's weird that I nearly had an orgasm when I saw this preview the first time. Just sayin'

That isn't weird. I damn near have one everytime I watch it. I just wish it wasn't so far away from the release. I'll have to content myself with reading fanfic and playing the other games until it comes out. As soon as I can I'm gonna pre-order the Legendary edition because we all know there will be one. As my icon says: Cannot Wait!

With you on 1 & 4 - I cannot leave the house without checking the front door multiple times. DH has a bad habit of opening it and not relocking it, and I'm phobic about it being locked.

It's definitely not weird. Are you still planning on writing that sga/halo crossover--cause that would be amazing.

I second this, and I would just like to add that for the cliffhanger to that snippet alone you definitely well and truly earned the "evil" part of the "Evil Author Day".

Just so you know, because of you I'm now reading a Halo book (the one about Reach - is there only one about Reach? If there is, I'm reading that one - if there isn't, well, the library only had one about Reach, so I at least didn't have to meditate over which one to get). Don't make me get another one before I finished this one, it's just starting to get interesting.

One weird thing about me: I sit most comfortably with one of my legs folded on the table in front of me/my laptop. (The other one is folded on the chair I'm sitting on, usually.)

Interesting...

So what's your favored method of cooking popcorn? Do you air pop or on the stove? Inquiring minds want to know ;)

With you on #1. I also must repeatedly check to make sure the oven is off...even if I haven't used it for days.

I about had one when I watched it as well. Actually just after finishing watching it I went and read your little excerpt of your sga/halo fic.

We only use the front door for guests and going to church.
I can still lie on the ground with my knees in front of me and my feet by my head cause my hip joints are weird.
I prefer my food cooked and then stone cold out of the fridge.
I started reading at 18 months and refuse to stop till I'm dead and even then they better bury a book with me.
I smile when I'm stressed or nervous which can piss people off.

And I really like it when you put bits like this in your lj because it means you are writing which I love and I am reading which I love more.

I'm with you on the, they'd better bury a book (or as many as they can) with me.

I think the weirdest thing about me is: I can "program" the first dream I will have during the night. I set the scenario the way I would the start of a fanfic and once it's set in my mind and I fall asleep, the rest of the scenario follows, sometime during the night.

Currently I have a scenario where Gibbs, Tony, McGee and Abby from NCIS are part of the last group of people who were evacuated from Earth before it was destroyed. Tim suggests that when Gibbs isn't leading a team off world, that he help teach the Athosians (and others who want to learn) how to build sailboats so they can fish. Tony finds the Atlantis equivalent of a media library and is put in charge of watching everything and cataloguing it. Abby and McGee work together in a computer lab. Once the background is set in my mind, I let the dream start and the four of them then have adventures with the Atlantis crew and the occasional "hey that's someone I know in real life."

I'm really glad I can do this.

Second or third or whatever the notion of NCIS in Atlantis.

As to dreams, the best I ever did was realize that a scary-ass nightmare I was having once couldn't possibly be real and it was time to wake up. I did so right before the bad guy slid open the door to the cupboard I was hiding in. Maybe I should have dreamed I kicked his teeth in instead, because I couldn't go back to sleep for awhile on account of it being a serial dream (one of those that continues no matter how many times you wake up from it.)

I totally get the door thing. I have to check that the door is locked multiple times before going to bed at night.

1 and 2 is something I do/have as well.

Also, I tend to check the front door several times more at night before going to bed, than I do before leaving the apartment. Not sure why the difference is.

As for 2... Crazy fact, we call it "shoe makers thumb" here. Not sure why.

aw man!!! 2012?!! So I could conceivably be waiting for this to come out and the world could end. ::sighs;:: Why soooo long?!!

Before I get in the car I have to check and make sure no one is in the back seat day or night.

Also I periodically check that my wallet is in my front pants pocket even though I can feel it against my thigh and the strap that it came with is looped around a belt loop and hooked back into to the wallet. I've noticed that if I'm in an airport I'll do it every 10 min or so. And I get obsessive about any travel documents I have with me.

Is it weird that I'll eat the ground beef in spaghetti or lasagna the day it's cooked but when I eat the leftovers I'll push the meat to the side and not eat it?
