So,

I bought a template from a wordpress template place because I found one Iiked and it was simple and I like things to be simple in that respect. Now, I've got this weirdo error coming up on the backend that I can't figure out.

Of course, I email the designer and tell him/her that I have this problem. This morning I get a response back and he/she has asked for a admin log into my site so they can check out the error.

Well, that's not a problem, right? I make this person an account and send as I'm filling out the email to send back to them... I come to realize that this person while browsing the back end of my site and the front end of my site might notice that... well I have a lot of porn on there. I felt compelled to warn them in advance and this is what I said:

PS- My site contains ... adult content of the slash porn variety... just fyi.

I am SO glad I didn't have a drink in my mouth when I read your comment! As it is, I only scared the dog with the sudden laughter. Awesome comment! :D

LOL. Well, they can't say that they weren't warned.

Maybe they are a fan?

My question is, did he or she reply? And if their work takes a too long a time, you know they got caught up reading the fic, rather than fixing the site!

*snickering*

Hey, s/he should thank you for expanding their horizons!

Love the Pink video. I shocked the hell out of my coworkers the other night - we had a work function and everybody fell all over themselves when a)I was chairdancing and knew all the words to this song; and b)I rocked up in leathers. *smirk*

Hey, lil ole ladies can wear leathers too. (I confess, I softened the look with a hand woven knee length cloak in jewel tones - which looked smashing with the black leather.)

Heh; there are tales I could tell you from when I was working for a web hosting company, needless to say, unless it was in the URL, we never got warning!

I'm sorry, I have a weird sense of humor. I read "browsing the back end of my site" and I still can't stop laughing. :D

I've never worked for a company, but I've fixed the computers of friends and family for years. With very few exceptions, I almost always found something that they would rather I not share with others. Even the few exceptions I mentioned suffered the consequences of accidental clicking.

It's funny how people will refuse to believe you know where they've been, what they've been up to. I'm not all ridiculous and nark on them, but people will flat out ask me why they keep having problems. When I say exactly why, even naming particular sites/actions and the whole process, they'll still refuse they do things like that.

A few times friends/family members have mentioned taking their computers to a professional computer repair place (probably because they know full well what they've got on their computers), I mention that techs look at everything just like I have to and the techs don't give a shit about the person who owns the computer.

Also, if the tech finds anything questionable, they're required by law to report it. While not all techs are ridiculous, even one illegally downloaded file is enough to report, not to mention if you're into some pretty freaky kinks.

When you're in a position to get into a person's business like that, you gotta expect shit like that from anyone and everyone. I just assume I'm going to find it, so I doubt you shocked the designer too badly unless they're a newbie to it. If they're a newbie, you've popped their shock cherry :D

I do like the idea that the designer is now having a ball reading all your fic!
