As Evil Author Day Approaches

 It would be super disingenuous to say I don't have anything to share on EAD because yall know all about my WIP folder cause I humble brag complain about my meandering path through WIPs all the damn time. In the end, it becomes a matter of choice as I read through my various projects to see what I'm ready to expose because it is an exposure of sorts for authors to show you their rough work. Many of us are used to doing it on Rough Trade but EAD is a far more permanent sort of thing for me as I leave excerpts up until I'm ready to post a complete project on my main site.

I'm currently toying with a Harry Potter/Hobbit crossover which greatly amuses me. Though I'm considering restructuring it into episodes because it's already over 100k and there's no sign of stopping. What possessed me to merge 2 wordy fandoms together? I don't know. I'll probably make a lot of LOTR fans foam at the mouth what with my utter lack of respect for canon, timelines, and geography. 

Another Harry Potter fic I have on the brain in the plotting stages is a different sort of magical guardian fic and it might end up being my April project. Who knows.

I'm toying with the next part of Hold My Coffee, meandering through my plot document for the next part in Ties That Bind, and I've got an original story for Declan Frost and Sean Taylor in the early "cloud plot" stages. I'm having to do some world building but it'll be a paranormal romance though it won't be set in the same 'verse as my first original project, Fall For You. But speaking of Law of the Pack, I do have original novellas in the works for Jared Cameron and Lawrence Harper but I don't have enough of either to currently share in any sort of way that would make sense. 

Regardless, I'm currently trawling my WIP folder looking for stuff to share on EAD.

You know I have a special place in my heart for anything SGA or HP, but both Hold My Coffee and Ties That Bind are very dear indeed. I honestly thought you'd wrapped up Ties so it's very exciting to know you're still thinking of it. Time for a re-read. Thanks for the head's up on EAD; whatever you post, it's sure to be good. :D

I have loved every thing you have ever teased us with on previous EADs, but if I could throw a word of encouragement in the direction of SGA, Star Trek, NCIS, or OMG I would be so very happy, Inception? I love SGA (and especially TTB), Tangled Destinies is amazing (and I've loved the Sentinel crossovers you've posted previously), your NCIS story Special Operations was amazing, and finally the two snippets you've posted in the past for Inception made my day. Bantering and badassery are what I love about your writing so very much and your take on Arthur/Eames had both in full 4k!

I know in the past there have been readers (utter asshats) that are pissed when after EAD you (or other writers) don't immediately finish the rest of the story and post it. Frankly, I don't see what their problem is. Without EAD us readers wouldn't get the chance to read a chunk of an idea that you have in the works. So, yeah, really looking forward to EAD.

On a side note, I was reading several different LotR/HP crossovers awhile back and found myself disgruntled because across the board the HP character tended to be sent to Middle Earth on Dumbledore's orders or just appear out of the blue. Then my brain decided to think, why doesn't this happen at a time when the character is having sex. The reactions would be hilarious.

I had been ranting to my mom about several things at that moment when I had my little epiphany. Yeah, I ended up inadvertenly telling her. My mom had only been listening with half an ear to my ranting,but when I said it she raised an eyebrow and said, "You should write that." I froze for a moment and then she went back to reading her book, leaving me thinking, did that just happen?

Evil author day choices

I'M curious, how do you go about choosing what to post for evil author day, do you find it easier to post something you're currently working on or do you look through your older stuff and post it because you don't know if you'll ever get around to it again or do you pick your favourites to share. Either way evil author day is one of my favourite reading days of the year as I can read some of my most favourite authors all on one day
