10 Things I Hate

I HATE...

1. Peppermint patties
2. The beach and anything involving getting in a body of water that doesn't have chlorine in it.
3. It's a Wonderful Life (movie)
4. 95% of the Beatles catalog
5. Horror movies
6. The SyFy Channel for canceling Farscape and for changing the spelling of their name because now I can't even take them seriously.
7. The fact that SyFy broadcasts wrestling
8. Whoever is responsible for the cancellation of Stargate: Atlantis
9. Locked fic entries on LJ though I do know why some people lock their LJ's down because fandom in general is full of sorry, no good, horrible bitches. (well maybe not FULL but it certainly feels like it sometimes)
10. The woman who lives down the street from me who drives the BMW. I don't hate her for the BMW because I don't even really like BMWs but I will say this. If you're going to drive a 50,000 dollar car then you need to DRIVE it and otherwise you need to park that shit in the driveway and let it look pretty instead.

10 things I hate:
1. Gossip Girl; both the books and the show.
2. Having flat tires because it has made me scared shitless and paranoid about thinking that I'm going to pop another tire on some highway and get into a bad accident.
3. Waiting for letters from colleges, and by proxy rejection letters
4. Cleaning litter boxes, cleaning up cat pee and dog pee, picking up the poop the dogs left in the house, etc.
5. Waiting for downloads from iTunes for the most recent episodes of shows I have season passes for...more than 24 hours after they aired.
6. People who write off a show before it even has a chance to prove itself, examples being NCIS: Los Angeles and most recently Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (It's only had four episodes people! For fuck's sake let it mature a little!).
7. People who leave spam comments on my journal posts (No you assholes, I am not interested in the world's largest Ebook library).
8. Realizing that your own writing sounds trivial and very junior high-ish (I admit to this. I actually went back and read some of my stuff and then realized that it's very strange for two people who have been dating for six years and who are crazy in love with each other to be living in separate apartments, and it is equally strange that when traveling they stay in separate rooms. Yeah, like I said, very junior high)
9. How I distract myself from work I'm supposed to be doing by going on the internet (in fact, I should be doing my International Relations homework right now)
10. Most of the boys that I go to school with and the fact that I would probably say yes if one of the good looking ones asked me out (but only because I haven't been on a date since PROM last year)

On a side note: what does the woman who lives down the street from you DO with her BMW if she doesn't drive it and it's not sitting in her driveway looking pretty?

Oh, she drives it badly and slowly like a little old lady on a Sunday drive which I could forgive if she actually was a little old lady but she's not! She's like 30.

I'm thirty, and I need a car. She should give it to me, I promise to speed as often as possible, especially through curves, I've gotten great tips from a race driver I know on speeding through curves.

Geeze. I mean, if it's a 50,000 dollar car I understand driving a little slow and being careful with it, my mom does the same thing kind of with her ridiciously luxurious and expensive, gas-guzzling Land Rover LR4 that I do love because it is really comfortable to travel in. But she doesn't drive it like a little old lady when she actually drives it. She's actually a bit of a speed demon (I take after her in that respect) and she's turning 51 this year. But you're right, if you buy such an expensive car...you show it off with it either sitting nice and pretty in the drive way or driving it around at like 45 MPH (well, depending on what the speed limit is of course).
