1. Peppermint patties
2. The beach and anything involving getting in a body of water that doesn't have chlorine in it.
3. It's a Wonderful Life (movie)
4. 95% of the Beatles catalog
5. Horror movies
6. The SyFy Channel for canceling Farscape and for changing the spelling of their name because now I can't even take them seriously.
7. The fact that SyFy broadcasts wrestling
8. Whoever is responsible for the cancellation of Stargate: Atlantis
9. Locked fic entries on LJ though I do know why some people lock their LJ's down because fandom in general is full of sorry, no good, horrible bitches. (well maybe not FULL but it certainly feels like it sometimes)
10. The woman who lives down the street from me who drives the BMW. I don't hate her for the BMW because I don't even really like BMWs but I will say this. If you're going to drive a 50,000 dollar car then you need to DRIVE it and otherwise you need to park that shit in the driveway and let it look pretty instead.

Date: 2011-03-14 08:23 pm (UTC)My insurance PCP can't help me, since I'm statistically improbable and she's crippled by insurance guidelines, but she has never once obstructed me either. When I used to get 4-5 cases of bronchitis a year she didn't say "Its viral", she said "What antibiotics work best on that for you?" When I said "low fat is stupid, I went low carb and here you can see I've lost X chunk of weight" she said "good for you, do you need any of your meds adjusted?" So when I sent the office a letter about getting a reverse t3 test, she had it authorized so fast she may have bent the space time continuum.
I go out of my way to say nice things about her because she's the first really helpful doc I've ever had. Just so everyone knows there really is one out there.
Sometimes I do feel bad for them though. There are so very many stupid people in the world I can understand how docs could get to the point where they couldn't recognize a smart one when it gets up and spits in their face. I'm not excusing it, but I can see how it happens.
